Jo has extensive experience in defending insurance related claims in the personal injury, product liability and construction and engineering areas, as well as experience in managing fraudulent claims requiring investigation, medical negligence and recovery claims. Her clients include many of Australia’s major insurance businesses and she has also acted for self-insureds.
Jo is proficient at assessing quantum of personal injury claims and ensures that all evidence necessary to reach a conclusion on the quantum of claims is obtained. She is effective and obtains excellent outcomes. She has also has an excellent success rate with matters that have been litigated to trial and in the Court of Appeal. Jo is well acquainted with her clients’ service standards and compliance requirements, and has an excellent track record of exceeding their expectations in these areas.
