 Rod has more than two decades of experience as a law clerk prior to completing his law degree and has an excellent working knowledge of WA District Court procedure and the systems, and processes which surround claims and litigation management.

He is a seasoned CTP practitioner in Western Australia who regularly provides advice to and acts for clients including:
He regularly analyses data from government sources such as the ABS which is critical to the calculation of awards for Domestic Services in WA, given the operation of s 3D of the Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Act 1943. He has prepared and presented numerous training papers covering assessment of legal costs, assessment of damages and Court procedure for claims staff at WA insurers.

Rod’s experience in crash investigations ranges from measurement of distances to photographing scenes and proofing witnesses. This work is fundamental to devising sound settlement strategies and preparing effectively for pre-trial conferences and Court.

Rod has a long record of successful appearances in pre-trial conferences, trials in the Magistrates Courts, Appeals in the District Court, chambers matters;, appearing on taxations of costs, infant compromise hearings and other procedural matters.
